One Michigan

One Michigan is an immigrant-led grassroots org based in Southwest Detroit. Their mission is to center youth and empower teenagers to become leaders in their community. One Michigan remains to be one of the few undocumented-led immigrant rights org in the country. I’ve learned so much from One Michigan over the years and am grateful to have had the opportunity to design their new visual identity. The new logo was inspired by the journey of immigration, as well as by the serpent, which carries symbolical meanings of dualism, transformation, and honor in cultures all around the world.
